Reflecting on your blog:
Early in the year i learned the importance of the way to film. Shots, over the shoulder, long shots medium shots, two-shot, three-shot, close-up, medium close up, extreme close-up. You can see in my first film i didn't do this, especially in my "honesty" value video. Shots where we should of shown reactions up close an extreme close-up shot would of worked well. On my second project i learned how to add titles and backgrounds. A scene that showed this well is in the film called "finn!!" I understood all of this at the end of this semester i really understood what filming meant, it is alot then i expected.
Birds
Kaycee and I chose this topic because we couldn't think of anything better to do. Later on, we decided that birds were symbolic of this school year, and highschool in general, and how it goes by so fast.

reflection, Jabberwocky, special_effects
The special effect that we used the best was probably the first picture in the beginning called "solid composit" it showed a man dead and we added a red color in it to show the meaning of death, i just thought it was a very understanding and clever idea. The mood we were mostly trying to communicate is, a jolly mood except for ther beginning because the person is dead. The second picture and effect shows two men hugging to show when he hugs his son; the effect is bend we thought it looked cool because it makes it look like they are moving and hugging. The next picture shows people cherring to show frabjous joy. Then the happy man at the end chortles in joy.

special_effects
For the effect below i choose "solarize" in the "stylize" folder i adjusted the Threshold to 56. I got stobelight from the "stylize" folder and adjusted the "random strobe" to 50%, the effects i choose don't really have a theme to them i can't see them being of some sort. I just really liked them.

Reflection on rough draft. 3-15-12
1) What value are you trying to represent?
The value we did was honesty because we were showing that the person that cheated turned himself in.
2) What do you think your group has done well?
what i think the group did best on was individual jobs that we had to do and filming, everyobe pitched on in ideas while we were recording scenes.
3) What do you still need to complete?
What we still need to complete is the teacher scene. (jakes part)
4) What are you most in need of feedback about? (We want to know if..., We're wondering if this camera angle worked when...etc.)
I think what we most need feedback about it is, the sounds. Everything else i think we did fine on.
5) Identify a challenge your group discovered and faced in creating the film. Focus on a challenge about how to best tell your story. Describe how you dealt with that challenge, including discussions you had, things you tried and decided to leave out, and what you ultimately did to address it.
A problem that we had was when the script was all finished it really wasn't.. we had to change some parts like characters and names and lines, we changed a scene from a classroom to a detention hour to show that the scene is "bad". when we wrote the script the main part was a student coppied and the teacher asks "whos test's are these and why are they both the same?" the tests already have the students name on them. so what we changed was we had the teachers lines change to "both of them need need to stay during break". the video flows and has a nice straight to the point theme.
